Instructions

STEP ONE: Seasoning the chicken

Rinse the chicken with cold water, remove the excess water, then evenly spread 1 ½ teaspoon of salt on the chicken, by using your hands, massage the chicken to make sure that every part of the chicken receives the salt seasoning.

STEP TWO: making the Dijon mustard seasoning

• Add 1 tablespoon of Dijon in a container

• Mix it with 2 tablespoons of ketchup

• Then, add 1 tablespoon of lemon juice

• 1 teaspoon of hot pepper sauce with ½ of white vinegar, 1 teaspoon of garlic, and then add 2 pinches of salt, mix, stir, and combined.

• After, with a baking brush, evenly brush the Dijon seasoning on the chicken drumsticks.

STEP THREE: baking the chicken legs

• Preheat oven to 450° C for 3-5 min

• Add chicken in a baking pan and bake for 15-25 min until golden brown.

STEP FOUR: increasing the heat intensity

• After the chicken has achieved golden brown, increase the heat intensity to 550° C and let chicken baked, this time for 5 -10 min, until you will start seeing some mere burning crust on the chicken drumsticks.

Note: if in any case, your chicken drumstick needs more cooking, you can lower the heat to 380° C and let the chicken cook for 20-30min more.

You will know that the chicken drumstick is well done by either slicing it with a knife to see if the inner portion is well cooked, or by using a meat thermometer.
